Just a journey of our Toraja's finest Coffee
Tana Toraja is a district of South Sulawesi, 329 km north of Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi Province.
Tana Toraja has a topographical height of 1000 meters above sea level and is known to produce one of the top ten best beans in the world.

The Coffee plantation is surrounded by hard wood vegetation, which protect the coffee cherries from heat and ground cover crops such as grass and shrubs to lessen soil erosion up to 5 – 10% in order to preserve precious top soil.

In general, the first harvest is done only after 3 years, afterwhich the coffee cherries will grow annually for at least 15 years.

After the cherries are harvested and gathered, their outer layer is peeled using a traditional machine.
The cherries are dried before peeling the inner layer to reveal the bean. Then before the roasting process, the beans are throughly washed and dried under the sun.
The Roasting process also uses the natural method with traditional pots designed for roasting and firewood that reach very high temperatures quickly to speed up the roasting. It takes around 15 minutes to roast 1kg of coffee beans. This natural process is the secret behind the unique flavor of our coffee.
